Enzo Le Fée has had a tough time adjusting to Serie A, also because of a knee injury, and could head back to Ligue 1 on loan, which would allow Roma to protect their €23M investment. He wouldn’t necessarily be replaced since they are in good shape at the position, Corriere dello Sport relayed (via Mediaset).
In the meantime, the Frenchman spoke about the transfer to the YouTube channel Free Foot (via Il Messaggero).
“In reality, I didn’t really plan to switch sides last year, as I was fine at Rennes, even though I didn’t feel completely at home. Things didn’t go as expected at the start of last season with Bruno Genesio, as I felt I needed time to adapt. After his firing, I was gearing into form under Julien Stéphan, but then I got hurt, which slowed me down. I returned near the end of the campaign, but I didn’t feel welcome and didn’t perceive the affection of the fans, which bothered me. So I decided to depart and received the call from Florent Ghisolfi, who brought me to Italy.”
Le Fée spoke about his impact with the Roma environment.

I don’t particularly enjoy running, and the physical preparation was tough. I was impressed by the number of people that work here. The structures are incredible. However, the fans are the best part. Only a few people recognized me at Rennes or Lorient, while everybody does here. The Olimpico Stadium is like a real arena.”
