Roma have sent their formal bids for Joshua Zirkzee and Giacomo Raspadori and are looking for a new home for Artem Dovbyk, who’s being pursued by Everton but would rather stay in Italy and favors Napoli and Milan, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
The Ukrainian marksman just returned from a thigh strain after missing a month. He has scored twice and assisted once in 14 appearances this season. The Giallorossi shelled out €30M to acquire him from Girona in the summer of 2024.
Dovbyk has been attached with a swap with Norberto Beto, but he’d rather not leave the Peninsula, and Napoli, Milan, and Como could offer him such a possibility. The Lariani need to replace the injured Alvaro Morata. They have inquired but haven’t accelerated to sign the former Girona star at this stage.
As for the Partenopei, they would consider him if they offloaded Lorenzo Lucca. He has been offered to several teams, lastly Lazio, La Gazzetta dello Sport relays. The Rossoneri are unlikely to add a new striker after Niclas Fullkrug, but Fenerbahce have lodged a proposal for Christopher Nkunku. Their hierarchy is pondering it.
They must feel pretty good about their chances of getting Zirkzee if they are working in the outgoing direction. He’d be in a worse spot if he joined the Azzurri, considering Rasmus Hojlund’s explosion and the imminent return of Romelu Lukaku. It’d be an odd turn of events if the Rossoneri sold Nkunku now, but they might bail if they could recoup their investment, which is a tall order. Adding another physical forward would completely recalibrate their frontline, better aligning it to Massimiliano Allegri’s style.
