Having been knocked out of the Coppa Italia by Torino during the week, Gian Piero Gasperini would have had revenge on his mind ahead of today's Serie A clash with the same side.
His team lead at the break courtesy from his latest signing, Donyell Malen.
The Dutch forward only joined the Giallorossi on loan from Aston Villa on Friday but was thrust into the starting lineup for the Sunday evening kickoff in Turin.
It took him just 26 minutes to make his mark, coolly finishing from close range after being expertly picked out by strike partner Paulo Dybala.
Dybala then struck in the second half to help seal a crucial victory for Roma. It moves the capital side above Juventus and into the top four and keeps alive their hopes of a Scudetto push in the second half of the season.
