Roma players have missed 113 matches so far due to various types of injuries, spanning the league, the Coppa Italia, and the Europa League.
The Giallorossi are one of the Italian teams most affected by physical issues, including muscle strains and traumatic injuries, so much so that Sunday night’s match against Napoli felt like a sort of medical derby.
Roma were missing Dybala, Dovbyk, El Shaarawy, Ferguson, Hermoso, and Koné.
Conte’s Azzurri were missing Anguissa, De Bruyne, Di Lorenzo, McTominay, and Neres.
El Shaarawy, Ferguson, and Dovbyk are still unavailable.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Angeliño, who has been sidelined 19 times this season, continues to lead the list of unavailable players.
The Spaniard is recovering and is now a regular call-up for Gasperini, although he hasn’t been seen since a brief appearance on December 11th in Glasgow in the Europa League.
Bailey remains in second place, having missed 17 matches due to three different injuries. The Jamaican will be matched by Dovbyk in Sunday’s match against Cremonese, while Ferguson will likely overtake Dybala.
The Argentine is expected to return to the field for the next match. Both have missed 11 games.
