Roma have stepped up their pursuit of Crysencio Summerville dramatically, and a transfer now hinges on the winger’s answer.

According to Sky Sport, the Giallorossi have accelerated sharply in the past 48 hours, presenting an important proposal to Summerville and his agents that meets the player’s financial demands.

Should the Dutchman say yes, Roma are ready to follow up with an offer of around €45 million to reach an agreement with West Ham.

Summerville weighs Roma move amid Aston Villa interest

The ball is now in the 2001-born forward’s court.

Summerville returns from Miami on Thursday and is expected to sit down with his representatives to take stock and plan his future, with a decision possible within hours.

Roma face serious competition, however. The winger has strong Premier League interest, with Aston Villa monitoring the situation closely and shaping up as the Giallorossi’s main rival for his signature.

The acceleration marks a significant escalation in Roma’s search for attacking reinforcements. Summerville had initially figured as one of several names on Gian Piero Gasperini’s wishlist, alongside the likes of Chelsea’s Alejandro Garnacho, after the pursuit of Mason Greenwood failed.

That Roma have now met his demands suggests the club have made their choice, and are prepared to pay what it takes to land Gasperini a marquee wide man for their return to the Champions League.
