Roma has some world-class players. Besides Donyell Malen, Wesley, Evan Ndicka, Mile Svilar, and Manu Koné are attracting the attention of Europe’s elite, but so far the Roman club has managed to hold off.
Roma needs to register capital gains of approximately €50 million by June 30, and the number 17 could be sacrificed to reach that figure.
According to Sky Sport, the first inquiries from Premier League clubs for the former Gladbach player have arrived in the past few hours.
Roma, as announced by Gian Piero Gasperini, will do everything to retain the big names, but if a monstrous offer comes through, the Giallorossi won’t be able to back out.
Inter were also on the trail of Koné, but the Giallorossi rejected last summer’s €45 million offer from the Nerazzurri, and now the Giallorossi midfielder is no longer a priority for Cristian Chivu.
Now all that remains is to wait for any offers that arrive from Trigoria.
The Roman club will become active on the transfer market as soon as Tony D’Amico is officially announced; for now, the Giallorossi are only working through intermediaries.
