Artem Dovbyk’s future remains uncertain.
The Roma striker has endured a nightmare season due to physical issues that have prevented him from being available to Gasperini, a coach capable of developing attackers like few others in Europe.
The Giallorossi number 9 is preparing for the training camp in Trigoria, scheduled for July 13th, with no guarantees as to his role at Gasperini’s Roma.
The question is: is Dovbyk still a technical asset, or is he a liability to be removed to free up space and fill it with another player? Meanwhile, Betis is considering the former Girona player.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Real Betis submitted an offer to Roma for the former Girona striker: a loan with an option to buy set at €15 million in the summer of 2027.
The Giallorossi are reportedly more inclined to sell him immediately so they can immediately find a replacement for Malen who has different characteristics than the Ukrainian striker.
Furthermore, Roma don’t want to run the risk of welcoming Dovbyk back to Trigoria in a few months, with a possible devaluation just around the corner. This is why the Roman club has currently rejected Betis Sevilla’s offer. Further developments are awaited.
