Mile Svilar isn’t leaving anytime soon.

This is the message Roma sent to Chelsea after the English club attempted to open negotiations for the Giallorossi goalkeeper.

A clear response, with no room for interpretation, confirms how central the Belgian is to the club’s technical project.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Chelsea have reportedly launched a blitz in the last few hours to try and bring one of the best goalkeepers in Serie A this season to London.

A proposal of around €50 million has reportedly been put on the table, a significant sum that, however, hasn’t swayed the Roman club’s position.

The Friedkins’ response was immediate: Svilar is not for sale. The goalkeeper is considered one of the untouchable elements of the squad and represents a cornerstone on which Roma can build its present and future.

This position is also shared by Gian Piero Gasperini, who has included the Belgian among the select group of players deemed essential for the new Giallorossi cycle.
