Crysencio Summerville has become a priority for Gian Piero Gasperini. While negotiations for the Dutchman had become difficult before the World Cup,

Roma now have a significant opportunity to make a move. Coming off a disappointing World Cup with his native Netherlands, the winger is now the main target for the attack.

Yesterday, initial contacts took place between the agents—who were in the capital to finalize the Doekhi-Lazio deal—and sporting director Tony D’Amico.

It was a positive meeting, which has since been followed up. The 2001-born player’s position is no longer as rigid as it was before the World Cup, when he was demanding a €6 million salary.

According to Matteo Moretto, Roma and Summerville’s agents are in excellent sync, but a financial agreement is still pending.

The transfer expert adds that the Giallorossi are awaiting a response from the player and have set a deadline.

A “do or die” deal to be answered within a week, before deciding whether or not to make the move. Once Crysencio’s approval is obtained, D’Amico will have to begin negotiations with West Ham for the player’s rights.
