Several Roma players’ contracts are expiring, and negotiations are beginning with their agents regarding renewals.
Gianluca Mancini, now a leader in the dressing room and an asset on the pitch, is close to reaching an agreement, and another player the Giallorossi are negotiating with is Zeki Celik.
The Turk, a firm favourite with both Gian Piero Gasperini and Vincenzo Montella, has a contract expiring in 2026, and Frederic Massara wants to speed up the process to reach an agreement and avoid any unpleasant surprises.
According to Il Messaggero, Zeki Celik’s performances, which under Gasperini have shown he can handle both as a central defender and a defensive midfielder, have attracted the interest of AC Milan and Juventus, who have inquired about him.
The former Lille player currently earns around €2 million and requires a raise to renew his contract.
The club will be able to apply the Growth Decree to avoid losing the Turk. Yesterday, the player took to the field for his national team and played 61 minutes, and found the net in his last appearance for Roma.
