Roma intends to give Gian Piero Gasperini a left-back.

This would free the Grugliasco-born coach to move his protégé Wesley back to the right flank, the Brazilian’s preferred position.

Frederic Massara has several names in his pocket, including Niccolò Fortini.

The 2006-born Fiorentina left-back seemed like a potential signing at Trigoria.

However, Il Tempo reports that the Roman club has no intention of investing the €15 million requested by the Viola management. Furthermore, Fortini’s profile isn’t even Gasperini’s favorite.

In addition to Fortini, Massara’s list also includes Joaquin Seys, a left-back from Club Brugge, who, unlike the Italian, is also a left-footed player. However, even in this case, the Belgian club is aiming high: the 2005-born player’s value is high, around €20 million.
