PSG’s slow moving summer has inched forward once again with the news that they’re in talks with Liverpool over the sale of Bradley Barcola.

As ever, it’s Fabrizio Romano with the update on the situation. He says that, following preliminary talks between the clubs and a framework agreement for personal terms, “official club to club talks” have begun over Barcola’s transfer fee.

There is still nothing guaranteed – it’s going to be a long battle to bridge the gap between Liverpool’s initial €100m bid and the far larger PSG valuation (which some have quoted as high as €170m).

But it’s a start, and the fact that the two clubs are talking at all means they both believe there’s a chance they can find a mutually agreeable price. Just don’t expect this saga to be resolved anytime soon, this could go right until the deadline.
