Fabrizio Romano is really pushing his luck now. His “here we go” catchphrase was annoying enough – but at least it served a purpose. Now he’s brought in the “here we go soon,” and that’s where we draw the line.

The transfer guru is talking about Ferran Torres’ move to PSG, which he says is at its “final stages.”

Torres skips training with deal just days away

The two clubs are very close to a deal, so close, in fact, that Torres isn’t training with Barcelona. “All parties” agree it’s best to keep him away for a few days while the clubs finalise the deal. That way he’s ready and waiting to head to France for his medical and contract signing.

Tonight’s UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa will provide a bit of a blockage to proceedings, but Romano adds that PSG are “expected to close the Ferran deal with Barca after the Super Cup.”

It sounds like Luis Enrique has his man – by all accounts, it’s going to be a matter of days before he’s training with his new club.

In other news…

The latest report was that the clubs were close to agreeing a €55m fee for Torres, and while the deal isn’t done, we wouldn’t imagine the price is going to change much, if at all.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Zion Suzuki will also join PSG in the coming days – but he looks more likely to be turning out for Juventus this season, strangely.
