While the World Cup captures the world’s attention, PSG are working hard in the background to continue their phenomenal success of the last few years. That will mean moving players on as well as buying them, and one name seems very close to the exit now.

South Korea star set for La Liga return

Chat about Kang-in Lee has been around for a while – despite playing a lot as an important squad player, he’s never established himself in Luis Enrique’s first XI, and now it seems he’s ready to try pastures now.

There’s been a lot of talk about a move to Atletico Madrid, and it’s finally becoming concrete. Fabrizio Romano gave it the seal of approval today, claiming that talks are “well underway” with the player, with agreement on personal terms “getting closer.”

Atletico will then need to “follow up” with PSG. That won’t necessarily be easy – it’s never worth considering a deal close to done until we get an idea of what both sides are expecting in terms of a fee. But PSG don’t seem like they’re going to push for anything crazy.

In other news…

Fabrizio Romano’s update on a recently relegated PSG target is a very interesting one for most PSG fans.

It’s the time of year where talented young players walk away to start their senior career, and PSG have just lost a good one.
