Romelu Lukaku has left Naples to continue treatment in Belgium for a hip injury, with the club's agreement.
The striker had returned to the training base in early May after several weeks in Belgium, but travelled back on Wednesday. La Gazzetta dello sport suggests the club are now awaiting a suitable offer to part ways.
Lukaku, 33, will miss Naples' final two Serie A matches, Pisa this weekend then Udinese on 24 May at 15:00. Both games are decisive in the push to secure next season's Champions League place.
He will undergo treatment at the Red Devils' training centre as he builds towards the World Cup, which runs from 11 June to 19 July.
Naples must now complete their run-in without the Belgian forward.
