Former Benfica prospect Ronaldo Camará has returned to Portugal, aiming to relaunch his career.
According to Glorioso 1904, the 23-year-old Guinea-Bissau international will represent Naval 1893, who compete in the Campeonato de Portugal.
An attacking midfielder developed at Benfica, he left at the end of 2021/22 after being part of the generation that won the UEFA Youth League. At that stage he was viewed as one of the academy’s brightest hopes.
After leaving Benfica, he joined Monza’s under-20s, then soon returned to Portugal with Feirense. Since then his path has included several overseas moves.
Camará has played for Beroe in Bulgaria, Braunsbedra in Germany, Go Ahead Eagles in the Netherlands, Differdange in Luxembourg, and most recently Banga Gargždai in Lithuania.
During his time with Benfica he made 75 appearances, contributing 10 goals and six assists. The move back to Portuguese football offers a fresh chance to recapture the rhythm and profile he once showed in the youth ranks.
