In football, 1-0 is never a comfortable score and that is even more so the case when it comes to a cup final.
The USWNT had taken the lead in their Women’s World Cup final clash with the Netherlands but things were still nervy.
That was until Rose Lavelle stepped up on 69 minutes that put the game beyond the grasp of the European champions.
Striding forward, she made the Dutch pay for failing to put a tackle in by finding the corner with a perfect low drive.
It truly was bliss from a Rose.
