Liam Rosenior’s side was run ragged in the dying embers. The Chelsea manager was at fault for the capitulation at the Parc des Princes.

His insistence on playing out from the back under intense pressure forced Filip Jorgensen into the mistake that led to Vitinha’s goal, making it 3-2.

Rosenior’s demands of his goalkeeper are notably difficult, as evidenced during his time at Strasbourg, and the Blues paid the price for this particular tactic.

Then came the biggest mistake. Rosenior took off his two biggest goal threats in Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro in the 83rd minute.

The Pedro decision was shocking as he had just started getting into the game, even scoring a well-taken goal before it was ruled out rightly for an offside.

Liam Delap came on, and his biggest contributions were shanking a shot and being flagged for offside.

Palmer did not have his best game, but Chelsea needed his attacking threat. Bringing on Romeo Lavia proved to be destructive.

With Chelsea barely threatening following the inexplicable decision to remove their two most dangerous players, PSG poured forward.

Rosenior has enjoyed a decent start to his tenure at Chelsea, but the jury is still out on his tactics.

Chelsea have lost all the high-profile games they have played under the 41-year-old.

It is hard to exactly pinpoint one area where they have improved since they appointed Rosenior.

They have crashed out of the League Cup under Rosenior and could be out of the Champions League soon.

If Chelsea do not qualify for next season’s Champions League, serious questions need to be asked about his credentials.
