Liam Rosenior has said there is no ceiling on the potential of Chelsea teenager Estevao Willian.
The 18-year-old produced a man-of-the-match performance as Chelsea cruised into the FA Cup semi-finals with a 7-0 win over Port Value. Estevao starred on a record-breaking afternoon for the Blues, who secured their biggest-ever FA Cup quarter-final win over the League One strugglers.
The Brazilian scored one, created another, and hit the woodwork in another performance that demonstrated his talent.
According to Opta, Estevao is the youngest player to both score and assist in an FA Cup game for a Premier League side (aged 18y 345d) since Bukayo Saka for Arsenal against Bournemouth in January 2020.
Rosenior was full of praise for the South American starlet at full-time and said Chelsea have ‘missed’ his presence amid a recent hamstring injury.
“There is no ceiling for him. We’ve missed him,” Rosenior said.
“He comes in and just plays, he wants to get on the ball. Wherever he is on the pitch he’s a threat.”
