Liam Rosenior has said Cole Palmer is ready to return to the Chelsea starting side this week.
Palmer came off the bench to assist two goals in Chelsea’s 3-2 win at Napoli in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The 23-year-old’s contribution was a welcome boost for Chelsea, after a stop-start season for the midfielder. Palmer has endured absences with toe, groin and thigh problems this season but Rosenior is confident that the England international is over those issues.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s clash with West Ham, Rosenior said Palmer is fit to start against the Hammers.
“He came through with two assists and an outstanding performance,” the Chelsea coach said at his pre-match press conference.
“He is absolutely fine. It’s what be wants and I want [for him to be able to play 90 minutes].
“He is available to start tomorrow so I am really happy about that.
“When a player like that is at their top level they are at a top level.”
