Liam Rosenior’s injury updates for tonight’s game against Hull had some interesting updates on a few players. Backup goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen might be expecting to play in a cup game like this, but hasn’t been seen for a while because of injury.
“Filip’s not fully fit at the moment,” said Rosenior in quotes picked up on the club’s official website.
“He’s working really hard on his rehab.”

It was thought that Jorgensen could leave on loan January to get some minute, and in hindsight that might have been the smart move, given he’s not been fit to play since then anyway. He increasingly looks like he could go in the summer.
Teddy Sharman-Lowe was recalled from his own loan at Bolton to cover in the meantime, and he’s been on the bench in recent games, and will likely be there again tonight:
“Teddy has had a very important loan at this stage of his career and he’s shown me really good things in training as well. So I’ve got no worries if we have to call upon him.”
Interestingly, it looks like TSL has moved ahead of Gabriel Slonina in the pecking order and is now third choice behind Robert Sanchez and Jorgensen. We would expect Jorgensen is sold in the summer, with Sharman-Lowe stepping up to be second choice unless a new keeper is brought in.
Another player that Rosenior gave an injury update on – and another player we expect could be sold in the summer – is Tosin Adarabioyo. He’s close to to a return than Jorgensen, but we don’t expect to see him this evening either.
Chelsea’s game tonight gives a perfect chance for the manager to play some youngsters – the question is, will he take it?
