Ruben Amorim has provided Manchester United team news for Sunday’s Premier League trip to Leeds United, with Bruno Fernandes still a doubt and several players missing.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Fernandes suffered a hamstring problem in the 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa four days before Christmas, then sat out the matches against Newcastle United and Wolves. Amorim said he does not think the captain will return at Elland Road on Sunday lunchtime, although he stressed they will see.
Mason Mount missed the 1-1 draw with Wolves after feeling an injury during the Boxing Day 1-0 win over Newcastle.
Kobbie Mainoo, calf, Matthijs de Ligt, back, and Harry Maguire, hamstring, have also been absent recently.
Amad, Bryan Mbeumo and Noussair Mazraoui are away at the Africa Cup of Nations, leaving Amorim without eight players.
The manager reported no fresh issues, and said late fitness checks would follow after one more training session. He added that he does not think anyone will recover in time, but left the door ajar.
