Club Deportivo Guadalajara has secured the continuity of one of the pillars of its midfield. Rubén González has renewed his contract with Chivas until 2028, in recognition of his sustained performance on the pitch and the leadership he has brought to the team.
In his career in Liga MX, 'El Oso' has played 250 games, 115 of them with the Rebaño Sagrado, figures that reflect his experience and commitment to the institution. Trained in the Rojiblanco youth academy, González made his First Division debut with Chivas in a match against León, corresponding to Matchday 8 of the 2013 Clausura.
His development as a player has allowed him to become a versatile midfielder, providing balance, game reading, great anticipation, and a lot of character, qualities that have established him as one of the leaders of the squad led by Gabriel Milito.
The renewal of Rubén González's contract is good news for the club, as it allows it to maintain the structure of the team, strengthen the Rojiblanca identity, and give continuity to a project that relies on home-grown players with a sense of belonging and specific weight within the dressing room.
