Rúben Neves claims Wolves have used their enforced lay-off to try and improve their attacking fortunes.
The Molineux outfit, who have not played since 19 December due to COVID-19 postponements, are the second lowest scorers in the Premier League with 13.
Only basement side Norwich (eight) have struggled more to hit the net.
Midfielder Neves admits Bruno Lage’s side are aware of the problem, but expects their counter-attacking play will produce more goals as the season progresses.
“We have been trying to find solutions and we know that we have the quality to do better in this aspect. It’s up to us to work during the week to get to the games and achieve,” the 24-year-told told the Wolves website.
“We also had this problem at the beginning of the season, and we’ve improved a lot afterwards. I believe that things will improve in that aspect because our style of play requires it.
“We want to be an offensive team that scores goals. Hopefully, it’s already in the next game.”
That opportunity will come on Monday when the Old Gold travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.
