Rui Borges on Sporting v FC Porto: “It’s not a decisive match”

After Sporting's 3-2 victory over AVS SAD in the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup, Rui Borges was in the press room. The coach was asked about the upcoming match with FC Porto, scheduled for next Monday:

«We will do everything to win the game. It is not a decisive game. For me, it isn't. Because there are many games left. I have given our example from last season several times. Football changes everything very quickly. Teams are becoming more and more competitive, they want points, they need them, and they will fight for the points. It is an important game, I understand – the first and second place teams – but it is not a decisive game.
