Rui Costa hails Benfica futsal back-to-back title after 4-3 win over Sporting | OneFootball

Benfica's men's futsal side edged Sporting 4-3 at Pavilhão Fidelidade in the decisive fifth game to retain the Liga Placard title. The result delivered their 10th national crown and completed a domestic treble.

According to Glorioso 1904, president Rui Costa congratulated the team and highlighted the scale of the achievement, 18 years after Benfica last retained the title.

He praised the work of the coaching staff, players and wider staff, and thanked supporters for their backing, which he said contributed greatly. He ended his message with the club motto, E Pluribus Unum.

Costa also noted that the league success followed triumphs in the Taça de Portugal and the Taça da Liga earlier in the season.

The club rounded off the campaign in style, reaffirming their recent dominance in the sport.
