Rui Costa ‘to face’ €15m price for Yassir Zabiri amid Benfica interest | OneFootball

According to A Bola, Famalicão have set a €15m asking price for Yassir Zabiri. Rui Costa, Benfica's president, is analysing that demand.

Benfica like the forward, but competition is expected to be fierce. Sporting and Porto are tracking him, as are several overseas clubs, with Wolfsburg prominent.

With a move for Lorenzo Lucca looking increasingly complicated, the Luz hierarchy could shift focus to Zabiri. The recruitment team are studying viable attacking options, with Clayton of Rio Ave also noted. The plan is to find effective solutions without stretching the budget.

Zabiri’s reputation soared after a standout Under-20 World Cup. He helped Morocco lift the trophy, was named player of the tournament, and scored five goals.

This season for Famalicão he has played 13 times, 11 in the Liga Portugal Betclic and two in the Taça de Portugal, across 732 minutes. He has scored four goals and is under contract until June 2028. He is currently valued at €4m.
