Ruiz targets first league win as Albion head coach | OneFootball

Albion seek a winning return to the Amex as Arturo Ruiz chases his first league victory in charge, hosting newly promoted Charlton Athletic today at 2pm.

According to TheArgus.co.uk, Ruiz accepts results have not matched expectations but feels the team are moving the right way.

Albion have taken two points from four WSL games and were held to a 1-1 draw by Aston Villa on their last outing at the stadium.

Their only win so far came in the Subway Players Cup, a 4-0 defeat of Charlton, and any repeat in the league would be welcome.

Ruiz says he sees daily improvement and greater solidity, with work on the training ground translating onto the pitch.

He acknowledges the process can be hard for supporters to see, yet remains calm and confident that points will follow soon.

Wastefulness has cost Albion, who missed several chances against Villa and have scored only three times in four league matches.
