Bayern Munich board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed that a world-record bid would not be enough to sell Michael Olise this summer.

Olise has been named as a transfer target forLiverpool and Real Madrid, following another outstanding season in Germany.

The 24-year-old has emerged as one of the world's best wingers since signing for Bayern and has been a crucial part of back-to-backBundesliga title triumphs.

Olise has scored 13 goals and added a league-leading 18 assists in theBundesliga this season, for a Bayern team who have obliterated the divisional record for goals scored.

His 18 league assists are just three short of the Bundesliga single-season record, held by Thomas Muller, and a joint-leading total across Europe's top-five leagues this season.

Olise's performances have attracted interest from leading clubs, but Bayern are adamant that offers will not be entertained.

Rummenigge was asked whether a €200m offer would be enough to soften that stance, a fee just short of the world-record fee that took Neymar from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.

However, he revealed toJulian Buhl the club's 'unwritten rule' to never sell players that would weaken the team. Rummenigge referenced the club's rejection of a world-record bid from Chelsea for Franck Ribery in 2009 as the turning point for the transfer stance.

“In 2009, we had an incredible offer from Chelsea for Franck Ribéry. At the time, it would have been a new world transfer record”.

“I then went to our then CFO, Karl Hopfner, and Uli Hoeneß with this offer. We discussed it for two hours, trying to figure out what to do with it. That day, we made a fundamental decision: that in the future, we would never sell a player we would miss on the pitch”.

“This unwritten rule still applies today. For a player like Olise, there's no price tag that would make us flinch."
