Rupérez moves to Sanse as Real Sociedad seek right-back cover | OneFootball

Sanse have added Iñaki Rupérez to their squad for 2026-27, as they return to the Segunda División. The club said in a statement that he joins immediately and will wear number 22.

The 23-year-old from Ansoain was due to step up to the first team last season, but a knee injury sidelined him for the campaign apart from a few minutes in the final league match against Espanyol.

Rupérez completed pre-season under Pellegrino Matarazzo. The club believe regular minutes are the best route to regain sharpness, so he will work under Ansotegi with the B team.

With Álvaro Odriozola still recovering from a cruciate ligament injury, the American coach has only Jon Aramburu available for that role.

Real Sociedad plan to go into the market and have already enquired about Barcelona’s Héctor Fort.
