Foot Africa has established that Rushine De Reuck is on the verge on signing a new deal with Tanzanian giants Simba SC.

The 30-year-old stalwart joined the Reds of Msimbazi in July 2025 after parting ways with Betway Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns via mutual agreement.

De Reuck put pen to paper on a one-year deal with an option to extend his stay with Simba by a further 12 months.

However, having impressed since his arrival in East Africa, sources have indicated that the two parties are negotiating fresh terms altogether.

He has been a mainstay at the heart of defence, making a total of 15 appearances across all competitions, including nine in the CAF Champions League.

Simba are understood to be in advanced talks with the South African international, with only finer details left to be ironed out before reaching total agreement.

Meanwhile, Steve Barker's men will return to league action with a clash against TRA United on Wednesday.

This follows their CAF Champions League group stage exit as they amassed two points from five games, ahead of a penultimate match against Stade Malien on Saturday, 14 February.
