Alessia Russo and Hannah Hampton are on the shortlist for the BBC Women's Footballer of the Year alongside three Spanish internationals.
The award is a fan vote after the initial five-player selection was chosen by a panel of experts made up of coaches, players, administrators, and journalists.
Two Lionesses are in the shortlist which includes Alessia Russo – who was a part of England's Euro 2025 winning team and lifted the Champions League with Arsenal – as well as Hannah Hampton, who helped Chelsea to a domestic treble and was a key player for England in the summer.
Three players feature from defeated Euro 2025 finalists Spain, including Arsenal's Mariona Caldentey. Barcelona stars Aitana Bonmatí and Patri Guijarro make up the rest of the list.
Surprisingly, a Spanish player has not yet won the award, which has been running since 2015. Barbra Banda was the winner for 2024, with Mary Earps (2023), Beth Mead (2022), Vivianne Miedema (2021), and Lucy Bronze (2020) the other winners in recent years.
