Wrexham will host Chelsea in the FA Cup last 16 after a 1-0 win over Ipswich Town on Friday, with co-owner Ryan Reynolds' reaction to the draw caught on camera.

According to Wales Online, Reynolds watched the draw with Hugh Jackman, looked stunned, then applauded as the tie was confirmed. He later shared footage on X, saying Chelsea were coming to the Racecourse and adding a colourful exclamation.

Josh Windass struck the winner at the Racecourse Ground to send the Red Dragons through. Chelsea progressed by beating Hull City 4-0.

Wrexham eliminated Nottingham Forest on penalties in the previous round, though Chelsea are likely to be a sterner test. Manager Phil Parkinson has upset the Blues before, overseeing Bradford's comeback from two down to win 4-2 at Stamford Bridge in 2014.

The clubs last met competitively in 1982 in Division 2 after that year's FA Cup meetings, which went to home and away draws before Chelsea won 2-1 in a third game.

Since the takeover, they have faced each other in United States friendlies, in 2023 at Kenan Stadium, North Carolina before 50,596, then in 2024 at Levi's Stadium, California. Parkinson reflected after Ipswich that making a bit of history mattered, backing up the Forest win was important, and that his players should savour the season.
