The writing is already on the wall for Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim, at least based on the dour depiction made by club insiders.

The Portuguese manager was appointed as head coach last October following the sacking of Erik ten Hag. The 40-year-old initially presented himself as a bright, cheerful individual. However, he’s beginning to cut a much more gloomy figure, not too dissimilar to his Dutch predecessor when he started losing his grip on the squad.

Man Utd began their campaign with high hopes after reconstructing their attack by spending north of £200 million on Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, but the trio has only showcased flashes of brilliance at best, as scoring goals remains a damning issue for the Red Devils.

Ruben Amorim left ‘lonely’ and ‘broken’ amidst Man Utd woes

Following the agonising 1-3 defeat to Brentford, the tactician insisted that he remains the right profile to lead United towards brighter days.

And while INEOS are willing to hand Amorim additional time, it remains to be seen how long he will be able to withstand the insurmountable pressure.

In his latest update for the Centre Devils, Man Utd journalist Sully revealed what club insiders told him about the manager’s dire status at the club.

These sources insist that Amorim is now a ‘lonely man’ at Carrington. The manager apparently prefers to take solace after defeats and hardly talks to anyone during training sessions.

Insiders reveal shocking Amorim mental status

Sully notes that very little is left of the cheerful Portuguese who first entered the club’s facilities with a broad smile on his face less than a year ago.

One of the sources goes on to argue that the former Sporting CP manager has been ‘mentally broken’ by the United job.

While the most trusted accounts all agree that MUFC aren’t searching for a replacement just yet, some might argue that sacking Amorim and bringing in a new head coach can be an act of mercy, as this traumatising experience could have a lasting effect on his promising young career, as well as his mental health.
