Umar Sadiq and Largie Ramazani are powering Valencia’s push for safety. AS points out that since the pair reunited, Corberán has leaned on them.
Against Girona on Saturday, both scored and, aside from a miraculous save by Dimitrevski, they were decisive.
Their connection dates back to Almería, on and off the pitch, and it shows at Mestalla. Ramazani has scored all six of his current goals since January, the point at which Sadiq’s return was arranged and completed.
The pair who made waves in Almería are doing so again in Mestalla. Their goals have delivered points against Espanyol, Levante, Osasuna, Sevilla and Mallorca.
Between them they have supplied 16 of Valencia’s 39 points. Ramazani has six goals and one assist, involvement in 19 percent of the team’s goals. Sadiq has three goals and three assists, 16 percent, meaning together they have fashioned almost 40 percent of Valencia’s strikes.
