SAFiel met acting Conselho Deliberativo president Leonardo Pantaleão on Thursday to present its plan to turn Corinthians into a Sociedade Anônima do Futebol.
According to Meu Timao, the group said on social media that the meeting clarified doubts, discussed refinements and arranged a briefing for councillors.
The plan targets R$ 2.5 billion in funding, rising to R$ 3 billion if demand exceeds expectations. Funds would primarily address football debts, sporting investment, infrastructure, governance and the social club’s strengthening.
The proposed SAF would assume assets and liabilities tied to professional football, including athletes’ economic and federative rights, commercial contracts and broadcast income. It would be run independently from other Parque São Jorge activities.
The social club would keep an equity stake and special governance rights via a golden share, plus R$ 600 million in royalties over 10 years for brand use. The project also foresees bodies such as a board of directors and a governance committee.
Voting shares would be reserved for Corinthians supporters, from R$ 250 with per CPF limits, with institutions confined to non voting stock if needed. Safeguards include vetoes on changes to name, crest, colours and symbols, plus a reversibility clause for serious breaches.
Execution depends on statutory approvals, independent due diligence, regulatory clearance and a final General Assembly vote. The non binding letter seeks analysis by the presidency, Cori and the Conselho Deliberativo, sets milestones across 180 to 360 days after acceptance, and is valid for 60 days from signing. The group launched safielja.com.br for support.
