SAFiel have written to Corinthians offering to structure immediate financing to clear the Neo Química Arena debt with Caixa Econômica Federal, seeking authorisation to open talks and organise statutory steps.
According to Globo.com, the letter asks for a signed confirmation of the proposal, permission to negotiate with Caixa and clarification rounds. It follows president Osmar Stabile saying he would sign a binding document to let the group raise capital to pursue a SAF if SAFiel settle the Arena debt. The bank debt is put at R$ 642 million.
Invasão Fiel S.A., the vehicle behind SAFiel, notes the statute does not permit a SAF and says it will observe SCCP’s governance. It cites the board, Conselho Deliberativo, Cori (Conselho de Orientação) and, when applicable, the general assembly, adding any deal would proceed only after their deliberations.
The group seeks an urgent meeting and proposes a minimum agenda covering mutual written ratification, authorisation to negotiate with Caixa over settlement, assumption or restructuring of the debt, a timetable of approvals, Q&A rounds, and the drafting of key legal papers, including an NDA, an authorisation for CEF talks, an updated memorandum of understanding or letter of intent, a binding proposal, fundraising instruments, and drafts of SAF by-laws and a shareholders’ agreement.
The letter does not say funds are already in hand, it is a pledge to structure payment subject to negotiations. Last week SAFiel and club officials met for the first time since the project’s 2025 presentation, and internal resistance among directors and councillors remains strong.
