Fede Sagreras has shifted his stance on Carlos Corberán as Valencia sit bottom after four games. The 0-5 against Barcelona in Mestalla has intensified scrutiny of the head coach.

According to La Colina De Nervion, the Agrupació de Penyes Valencianistes president lauded the bond between Corberán and his players in April 2025. That followed the 1-2 win at Real Madrid, when he credited the revival to that unity.

The start to LaLiga 2026/27 frames the shift. Valencia have one point from 12, one goal scored and nine conceded after four matches, leaving a goal difference of -8.

They drew with Celta, then lost to Real Betis and Deportivo de A Coruña before Barcelona’s rout. Valencia ended matchday four in 20th, behind Elche on goal difference.

The club underlined support on 6 July, extending Corberán to 2028 and calling him the ideal figure.
