The Munich club observed the Croatian over a longer period of time and analyzed his development at Como. However, the record champions were not alone: numerous other top European clubs are also said to have gathered information about the midfielder

However, concrete negotiations apparently never came to fruition, not least due to the financial circumstances. Baturina is now one of the most valuable players in Como’s squad and would only be available for a high transfer fee

Tottenham go full throttle

While Bayern have not intensified their interest, Tottenham Hotspur now appear to be getting serious. According to transfer insider Pedro Almeida, Spurs have already made an offer of €50 million

The Londoners are also said to have already made contact with the player’s agent, which is why Tottenham are currently considered the favorites in the race to sign the Croatian

According to the latest reports, Como are not convinced that they will let the midfielder leave for the sum on offer. The club see Baturina as one of the most important building blocks of their sporting future and would like to keep him if possible

For FC Bayern, the development indirectly confirms their own strategy, as they have now focused on other transfer targets

In particular, Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven is currently regarded as one of the desired players for the attack and midfield. According to several reports, talks with the Dutch champions are already in full swing. However, in view of the failure of Anthony Gordon and the withdrawal of Baturina, Saibari does not appear to have been Munich’s first option
