Ismael Saibari transferred from PSV Eindhoven to FC Bayern this summer. The Moroccan is considered one of two blockbuster signings. Nathaniel Brown, who came from Frankfurt, is also expected to play a major role—and as soon as possible.
Saibari immediately made his mark with two assists in his first Bundesliga game. The attacking player came off the bench against Stuttgart on Friday and impressed right away. He already seems very well integrated and has been warmly welcomed at Bayern.
A smooth and rapid integration is crucial for a player like him so he can reach 100% as quickly as possible. After all, Saibari has big goals with FC Bayern.
In an interview with the club’s member magazine “51,” the new signing explained why he decided to move to Munich this summer. “It has a lot to do with the fact that I played against Bayern in the Champions League with PSV last season. The way the players carried themselves, with their presence. The way they played soccer. That was impressive; I really liked it,” said Saibari.

He’d also had a conversation with Vincent Kompany beforehand. Why did the coach encourage the player to make the move? “Because my strengths are a good fit for Bayern: I’m a player who attacks, who’s a threat in front of the goal, and who works hard both offensively and defensively. PSV has a similar playing style to Bayern, which suits me well. Vinny told me that it’s no problem if I make mistakes. The only important thing is that I work hard. The rest will follow naturally.”
The attacking player now wants to get 100% fit first. Although he has already played for FCB since his World Cup injury, he hasn’t been able to start a game yet. But as his fitness improves, that will surely happen very soon.
