Said El Mala is back to full fitness and is in contention to start for 1. FC Köln at crisis-hit Hamburger SV.
According to BuLi News, the 20-year-old has recovered from a flu-like infection and is at 100 percent ahead of the trip north.
He sat out Köln’s 4-1 defeat to Stuttgart, then was limited to a substitute role in last week’s 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen.
Head coach René Wagner said El Mala trained fully this week, he required no workload management, and he is an option to start in Hamburg.
He could also make his Germany debut in the upcoming international break after being named in Jürgen Klopp’s 44-man squad for UEFA Nations League fixtures.
