Arsenal clashed heads with Aston Villa at Villa Park earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Gunners made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Bukayo Saka scored the opener for Mikel Arteta’s side in the 59th minute as the North London club secured a narrow 1-0 win away from home.

He didn’t have a save to make in the game and kept an easy clean sheet tonight.

RB: Ben White – 7.5/10

White was a positive influence at both ends of the field and was strong in the air.

He performed his defensive duties well and was accurate with his passing.

CB: Gabriel – 7/10

Gabriel gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and would be quite pleased with the clean sheet.

LB: Riccardo Calafiori – 7.5/10

He caught the eye at times on the left flank and has an assist to show for his efforts.

CM: Myles Lewis-Skelly – 7/10

Lewis-Skelly anchored the midfield well but offered very little in the final third.

CM: Declan Rice – 7/10

He offered decent protection for his teammates at the back and was substituted in the 84th minute.

RW: Bukayo Saka – 8/10

Saka caused a few headaches for his marker and managed to score the only goal of the game in the 59th minute.

He worked hard off the ball but struggled to be effective in the final third.

LW: Christos Tzolis – 6/10

Tzolis was quiet in the first half and was replaced at half-time.

ST: Kai Havertz – 6/10

Havertz kept possession well at times inside the Aston Villa half but failed to register a goal tonight.

CAM: Eberechi Eze – 6.5/10

He made one promising run with the ball.

His impact on the game was minimal.
