Roma will make significant changes on the flanks, starting with midfield. Tsimikas will return to Liverpool, Angelino’s fitness isn’t convincing, and Celik is waiting to renew his contract.
Only Wesley and Rensch remain, but only the Brazilian is a starter.
Salah-Eddine, however, could arrive from the Netherlands.
The Moroccan left-back, in fact, as reported by De Telegraaf, is keen to convince Gasperini to take a chance on him after his loan spell at PSV.
The Eindhoven club has a permanent purchase option set at €8 million, but an agreement with the player hasn’t been reached.
Salah-Eddine, therefore, could return to Roma after a season on loan.
The Moroccan full-back finished his season with PSV, playing 1,630 minutes and scoring just one assist. The Dutch club wanted to keep him, but a definitive contract agreement was never reached.
The 2002-born player has reportedly expressed his desire not to force his hand and to return to Roma to spend the Giallorossi’s training camp. In the coming weeks, he will begin the World Cup against Morocco, alongside El Ayanoui, a potential teammate for the Giallorossi.
