Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool farewell ended in emotional scenes at Anfield on Sunday, with the Egyptian star visibly in tears as supporters paid tribute to one of the club’s greatest modern legends.

Salah made his final appearance for the Reds in the 1-1 draw against Brentford, alongside long-time teammate Andy Robertson, bringing an unforgettable nine-year era to a close. The pair leave Liverpool having played central roles in one of the club’s most successful periods in recent history.

Despite the emotional atmosphere, Salah still managed to make one final contribution in red. His assist for Curtis Jones’ opener was his 93rd in the Premier League for Liverpool, taking him past Steven Gerrard’s previous club record of 92.

The assist also moved Salah level with Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp in sixth place on the Premier League’s all-time assist rankings with 94 overall, including one during his brief spell at Chelsea.

Salah leaves Liverpool with 257 goals in all competitions, the third-highest tally in the club’s history behind only Ian Rush and Roger Hunt.
