As of late, Paris Saint-Germain has been linked with Salernitana midfielder Ederson for a potential permanent transfer deal. PSG is reportedly interested in signing the Brazilian midfielder and would be open to placing a €26 million transfer offer on the table in order to sign.
Ederson recently took some time to speak to Foot Mercato, where he provided his reaction to the rumors linking him to the reigning Ligue 1 champions.
“I was happy to read that, it’s the recognition of my work, I talked about it with my representatives when it came out, but I asked to focus on the end of the season, with the maintenance to be sought, especially since the mercato is still far,” Ederson said. “This week, I will return to Brazil, I will talk to my agents, we will see what is true or not, if there are already offers or not. I will see this week quietly with them.”
Ederson also chimed in with his viewpoint on PSG’s project, where he noted that he has a lot of “respect” for the club.
“It’s a huge club, which aims for great things, like the Champions League,” Ederson said. “They have brought great players to their team, I have a lot of respect and admiration for this club. I am waiting to see if there will be something official.
“It’s rewarding to see these kinds of clubs interested in you, regardless of the outcome.”
The upcoming summer transfer window will open up in mere weeks. It will be noteworthy to see whether soon-to-be PSG sporting director Luis Campos plans to go all out to bolster the midfield by signing the versatile Brazilian talent.
