Venezuelan striker Salomón Rondón is making a return to Europe. The veteran was announced as a new signing for Real Oviedo, who was promoted to the top division last season.
Over the past two years, Rondón has been a standout player for Pachuca in Mexico, where he won the Concacaf Champions League. The striker scored 36 goals and provided eight assists in 70 matches played.
At 35 years old, Salomón Rondón has been away from European football since leaving Everton in 2022. He also has experience in Russia, Spain, China, and even played for River Plate in Argentina.
Now, the challenge is for the former West Brom man to help Real Oviedo stay in the first division. After 24 years, the team secured a spot in La Liga with crucial participation from ex-Arsenal playmaker Santi Cazorla.
