Sambi Lokonga set for weeks out after ankle ligament tear

Sambi Lokonga is expected to miss weeks after sustaining an ankle injury at the weekend for Hamburger SV.

The club announced on Monday evening that the central midfielder suffered a lateral ankle ligament tear during Saturday’s 2-0 away win at Heidenheim.

The 26-year-old has featured 16 times in the Bundesliga this season.

He has scored four goals following his move from Arsenal last summer.

HSV will continue their campaign without the midfielder while he recovers.
