Ernesto Torregrossa is delighted with his move to Sampdoria.
The striker has joined on-loan from Brescia with a permanent option.
“Samp had already wanted me over the summer and I am happy to have arrived eventually, even if it was a few months late," Torregrossa told the official Samp website.
“The President negotiated personally with Massimo Cellino and I'm pleased he managed to bring me here. It wasn't easy, as Cellino is very fond of me.
“Samp are a glorious club, I am here to help my teammates and coach, as well as definitively make my mark in Serie A. So many great strikers wore the Sampdoria Number 9 jersey, it's an honour for me to now wear it.
“I thank Brescia for all they gave me, but I see Sampdoria as the big step up in my career and I can only learn from a coach like Claudio Ranieri."
