Samsunspor host Galatasaray in the Süper Lig on Saturday, 2 May 2026 at the Samsun Yeni 19 Mayıs Stadyumu, with the leaders looking to stay clear and the seventh-placed hosts chasing a statement result.

Thorsten Fink's side arrive with momentum in the league, winning three of their last four, including victories over Beşiktaş and Alanyaspor, alongside a draw with Konyaspor. They did exit the Türkiye Kupası on penalties to Trabzonspor after a goalless tie. Okan Buruk's team beat Fenerbahçe 3-0 last time out in the league, having also won at Gençlerbirliği and drawn with Kocaelispor, though they lost to Gençlerbirliği in the cup.

Aslan are without suspended goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır and defender Metehan Baltacı, while Yaser Asprilla is injured. Samsunspor are missing J Assoumou and Bedirhan Çetin through injury.

Aslan's attack has been prolific, scoring 72 league goals with 61% possession. Mauro Icardi has 14 league goals and Victor Osimhen 13, while Barış Yılmaz leads their supply with 10 assists. Samsunspor have scored 39 and conceded 41, with Carlo Holse and Marius Mouandilmadji the main threats and Emre Kılınç a key provider. The visitors could control the ball, while the hosts may look to target wide deliveries and quick transitions.

A win would take Aslan to 77 points and could tighten their grip on the title race. Victory for Samsunspor would move them to 48 points and keep a late push towards European places in view.
