Samuel Lino was picked as Flamengo’s standout in a 3-0 win over Remo at the Maracanã in the seventh round of the 2026 Brasileirão. According to Globo.com, Léo Ortiz headed the opener from an Arrascaeta corner, Lino struck soon after half-time and Luiz Araújo added the third.
Ortiz initially struggled against Alef Manga, then settled and produced vital interventions after the break. The centre-back’s header set Flamengo on their way and helped keep the match under control.
Lino grew into the game, threading passes for Pedro and Arrascaeta and forcing a dangerous effort before scoring to calm nerves. He then fed the move for the third, sliding a ball into the box for Pedro to tee up Araújo. The winger also delivered a fine cross that Arrascaeta headed wide and he tracked back to make three tackles.
Pedro missed a first-half chance from a low Lino cross, but combined neatly for the second and supplied a back-heel for the third. Rossi had one routine save, while Emerson Royal started with purpose before a quieter spell. Alex Sandro toiled defensively, improved before the interval and was more involved after the restart.
In midfield, Erick Pulgar led the team in tackles with four, took a booking and will miss Corinthians, as will the cautioned Léo Pereira. Jorginho was steady, while Arrascaeta endured an erratic night with the most misplaced passes and a headed chance off target. Ayrton Lucas, Varela, Lucas Paquetá, Everton and Carrascal came on, with Jardim’s side much improved in the second half.
